# WebMCP

WebMCP is a draft capability family covering imperative and declarative tools, discovery and execution, permissions, cancellation, and security annotations.

Terminology basis: Catalog grouping. This organizes related compatibility questions and is not itself a support claim.

WebMCP is not remote MCP server configuration. It is a draft browser API through which a page exposes structured tools to browser-provided or author-provided agents. The family keeps page authoring APIs, agent consumption APIs, origin controls, and security signals distinct.
